    Not really.

Players know that the signing bonus is the contract.

Houshmandzadeh is a decent-sized marble right now. He's not going back to Cincinnati.

The Deuce McAllister move nearly ended in catastrophe for us yesterday. We're in Saints and Ole Miss country, and the story broke right as we were about to go to press. So we did a quick swap-out with another front-page story that had a one-column headline.
"Saints drop Deuce" nearly made it onto the front page in the heat of the moment.

Bucs put the franchise tag on WR Antonio Bryant.

New England signed Tully Banta-Cain, today who was released by the 49ers last week. He was actually quite good in limited playing time for the Pats before bolting for a contract in San Fran a few seasons ago.

Panthers re-sign Jordan Gross to a six-year deal and place the franchise tag on Peppers:

Asomugha gets a big deal from the Raiders:

This will be ugly. Peppers has already threatened to hold out if he was tagged. Marty Hurney knew that the list with four teams was his signal to tag Peppers.

Supposedly one of the four teams is the Cowboys. To figure out the other three, sort through the other teams planning to run a 3-4. There's a big clue, folks.

Wonder where all those No. 90 replica jerseys - too many of them of the Smurf variety - will end up now?

Peppers would be a great fit for Rex Ryan's defense.

What do the Jets have for draft picks? I mean, the Panthers have to compensate for being dumb enough to give away Kris Jenkins last offseason ...
