Truth be told, even if the Jaguars had won the Super Bowl that year, they would declined the way they did. Coughlin, who was also the team's GM, blew the salary cap out with high priced free agents, many of whom he signed a year too late (Bryce Paup, Carnell Lake, Hardy Nickerson) or had career-ending injuries (Leon Searcy). Tony Boselli blew his knee out in the final regular-season game in '99 and then got a career-ending shoulder injury. The former owner still fired Coughlin too quickly after a couple of 6-10 seasons and Del Rio pulled the trigger on getting rid of Brunell too early because he wanted his guy (Byron Leftwich ... bust).

Power out at my house this morning. Tree took out a power line down the street. National Grid better be on top of this today.

That first throw by Foles was like hitting a 9 iron into a hurricane. Deep balls aren't gonna be easy in this one and kicking is gonna be tough when those gusts kick up.

Eagles' offense so far is "draw pass interference penalties."

If you are a pro athlete and smoke weed, just move to Colorado, California or where ever weed is legal. You can afford to live anywhere, why take the chance of getting arrested?

I would assume Foster was back in Tuscaloosa to see his buddies who still play at Alabama, or maybe to work out at Alabama's facility. He's actually from the Columbus, Ga., area.

But he failed a test at the combine last year. This should surprise no one.

I'm as big a football conservative as anyone, but you have got to go for this if you're the Eagles.
