How could there not have been AFC/NFC East representation 41 years ago?

Three division winners automatically took divisional round spots, and two wild-card teams played for the fourth spot.

What year would this supposedly have been? In the 1978 season each East Division had two of the five playoff teams. That was 41 years ago.

I'd like to see another bye for teams going into Thursday games.

I could care less about everything else.

You are right. And even if it's a typo, it's wrong. 31 seasons ago is 1988, and the Bills were in the divisional round. I covered their game. In 1998, Jets were in the AFC title game.

Six turnovers. Incredible. I was with a Vikings and Falcons fan that day. We were all late for work on Monday.

Potentially a foot of snow forecasted for Green Bay on Saturday night into Sunday. Too bad the game is Sunday evening.

Have zero interest in the 49ers but yeah, that is an awesome look.

Pretty good oral history on The Athletic catching up with Vikings and Niners players from '87, when Minny won at SF after winning at New Orleans.

I was at that game. San Francisco could not defend Anthony Carter. "Fans" booed Joe Montana off field when he was removed for Young in fourth quarter. Fans are shit.
