NFL considering an eight-week season

    If that happens, we may finally get to see the coin flip deciding some of the playoff berths, as there are bound to be ties galore.

    Four teams all going 3-3 overall and 1-1 against the other three. It would be interesting but it's unlikely that three or all four would be tied in the tie-breakers determined by points scored/allowed. There would be fewer steps, though, because everyone would have the same common opponents and "strength of victory" would be meaningless.
