That's because the survey was taken in Cleveland. It was a better option than continuing to be a sports fan there.

In addition to Childress, Reid has Frazier (DBs early in Reid's run in Philly), Harbaugh and Spagnuolo.

It was also mentioned on just about every radio show that "another one of Bill Belichick's young geniuses has flamed out as a HC."

All coaches are plagarists, as the best ones, like Belichick, freely acknowledge. There are elements of Pop Warner's ideas in every NFL playbook.
That said, there are two coaches who can be said to have created real cadres of disciplines in the profession, as opposed to coaches who used to work for them who got head jobs because Coach No. 1 won many games. There's Paul Brown and Sid Gillman. That's it.

    That's awfully simplistic.

  9. As an aside - besides Charlie Weis - Belichick assistants have done pretty well in college.Pat Hill at Fresno State, Kirk Ferentz at Iowa, and Nick Saban at Alabama

Good point. I think it was the Belichick Patriot assistants that have shit the bed as head coaches.

Can it be broken down to running (Brown) vs passing (Gillman)?
