    Obviously. But when you might only have three possessions left, it makes sense to make it so you can theoretically kick a field goal on one of them.

    Plus, if you miss, there's no real difference between being down 20 or 21. You need three touchdowns either way. It's not like the odd philosophy we've seen that dictates going for 2 when you'rlve just cut it to 12 or 9.

    It’s clear the 49ers made the right choice in passing over Rodgers. He’s 0-3 in the playoffs against SF.
