Denver doesn't belong. Though they've sucked massive balls recently, Oakland should be in the top 10 in their place.

Were they meant to be sensible in any way?

The Patriots have been a dominant team for a decade. But for four decades prior, they ranged from mediocre to laughingstock. So they're sixth? The Eagles rate ahead of the Colts? No rhyme or reason to this fraud's selections. Jets ahead of the Raiders? Only if NFL history began in 2003. If they're not meant to be historical rankings, then what the fuck are they? You have your present and you have your past. To combine them is unpossible in our current space-time continuum.

C'mon Mike, whether you agree with the list or not, calling a respected NFL writer like Prisco a fraud is a bit much. He's one of the better writers out there. Does that mean I agree with his rankings? Of course not...

Really? 8 winning seasons in the last 40 is pretty shitty. Even in the better decades like the '50's the franchise the Lions tossed in four non-winning seasons.

Should be higher than 32 but not much higher.

Should be ahead of Houston, Jacksonville and Carolina at least. Also better historically than the Falcons and Cardinals. I feel like the Browns and Bengals get a nod because they actually had some decent squads in the 80s. But the Lions had a ton of talent in the 50s and 60s so this is pretty bad.

Just looked, Lions are 26th in win percentage all-time. They are still behind the Jags, Panthers and Seahawks - teams that half like half the games played that the Lions do. Based on that, the Lions should be 23.

The Cardinals are way too high. Outside of one run a few years ago, they have been terrible, and it looks like they will be terrible for a few more years.

I'm guessing the outcome Sunday flipped the spots.

Once Harrison, Ward, Polamalu, Pouncey, Willie Parker, McFadden, Ike Taylor and Timmons get in the Hall, the Steelers will be #1.

All SB winning teams deserve to be ranked about teams that have not won SBs.
