    Statements on Martavis Bryant's reinstatement

The NFL conditionally reinstated Martavis Bryant today. At least the league didn't drag its heels until after the draft, though the Steelers would be foolish to fully trust Bryant to avoid another violation of the league's substance abuse policy.

I doubt it would have mattered in the AFC Championship game, when the Steelers couldn't even come close to slowing the Patriots down, but the loss of Bryant significantly weakened the Pittsburgh offense all last season. If he somehow manages to stay clean, he makes it a lot tougher for defenses to focus on Antonio Brown. They overcame that at times by leaning heavily on Bell and at other times when either Sammie Coates or Ladarius Green provided a deep threat, but neither could stay healthy.

I still don't see Pittsburgh matching up well with the Patriots, but the offense should be a lot of fun to watch if Bryant is out there.

The only way to beat the current Pats is a shootout. Just hope/scheme your defense comes up with a couple turnovers to break serve and keep moving the chains. Steelers COULD do this if healthy. Never are by January, though.

True. What little hope they had limped to the sidelines with Bell. I would love to see what that offense could do with everybody healthy and eligible, but it seems very unlikely given the lousy judgement of Bell and Bryant, Bell's injury history and Green's concussions.

People laughed at that. No one believed that. People who saw him play in hs knew it was complete bs.
