Newsweek sold

Discussion in 'Journalism topics only' started by Captain Obvious, Aug 8, 2013.

  1. Didn't notice a thread. Newsweek will be sold to IBT Media for an undisclosed amount. The sale price in 2010 was $1, plus assuming $47 million in debt.

Once upon a time, a certain paper was put up for sale. Someone asked the price. My colleague responded "75 cents, or a buck 50 on Sundays."

"The sale marks the next step in the evolution of the weekly magazine. "
