Newsweek Sold; Meacham Out.

    It looks like Newsweek actually "sold" for less than a dollar.

    Is this really the best deal they could get?

    Oh, and the AP contacted three media companies looking for a comment and not one of them would say anything. Perfect.

    Is it the issue with information overload on the cover? I picked that up at Walgreen's the other day and brought it home because I thought it looked interesting. Of course, it wasn't.

    Last night, we were lying in bed reading and my wife looked up from the issue and said, "I am so glad we get Time instead. This is horrible."

    Jack Schafer of Slate had a great quote about Meacham's tenure: "The problem with his Newsweek was. He didn't like the news and he didn't like the week."
