FH, I say it's the same argument. And I say NFL Europe would be sufficient in this case.

Some of us do. And I go with "Europa" because I'm too lazy to change the last letter every time I do the TV listings.

FWIW, which is probably not much, I've NEVER heard anyone call it NFL Europa.
I think FH had it nailed.

    hehehe :D

We had this same discussion in our newsroom recently.

    My point:
The "official" name of Germany is Deutschland. The "official" name of Spain is España. It's still Germany and it's still Spain. It always was NFL Europe, and it's still NFL Europe to me. I don't care what vowel the boys at the league office in New York think is trendier. We're in America. It's called Europe.

[/wild tangent] Boy was I pissed during the Olympics when everything was Turino this, Turino that. Some broad called up to let us know that we had the dateline wrong, because the TV kept saying Turino, and we kept using Turin. Guess what lady!?! It's fucking TURIN. Look at a map. We'll start calling it Turino when the rest of the fucking paper is written in Italian. [/end wild tangent]
