Figuring a dollar per percentage point, I guess the Newseum's profit margin goal is 20 percent. This makes them just like newspapers.

It won't be complete without a diorama of Bob Novak butting into the front of an airport checkin line, while cursing out everyone within earshot.

    The British Museum - free
The Louvre - $12 (as of last year)

But yea, I'm going to pay $20 for this one.

I loved the Newseum when I visited it's previous location, but I can't see paying $80 to take my family to the new location.

No surprise. The Newseum has Gannett fingerprints all over it.

This is incredibly off-topic, but my visit to the Holocaust Memorial was one of the most profoundly moving experiences of my life, I think.

And no, I won't be spending $20 on this little venture.

I'll probably go on Opening Day when it's free. After that, fuhgedaboutit.

Pay $20 to go into a museum? No. Fucking. Way.

I love the Smithsonian's Museum of American History and am saddened that it's been closed for renovations for nearly the past two years. However, if they charged $20 to get in, I wouldn't go there.

That's the clubhouse leader for 2008 Post of the Year.

I loved the old Newseum. I even bought a "Will Write For Food" tee shirt there. But $20 is way too expensive.

And I wonder if they realize the $20 per person cost will keep actual journalists from visiting?

Admission to the Creation Museum, Taxidermy Hall of Fame of North Carolina and Antique Tool Museum in Southern Pines, N.C., is free.

That's three for the price of none!
