The Los Angeles News Group is seeking a design superstar to handle A-1 and sports centerpieces, special sections and special projects. The successful candidate likely will have at least five years of design experience at a daily newspaper, possess excellent news judgment, be able to manufacture centerpieces from nothing, work collaboratively with editors and reporters to produce award-winning pages and be comfortable training other designers. Send cover letter, resume and at least five samples of your best work to Steve Hunt, managing editor/content center, Los Angeles News Group at steve.hunt@langnews.com. No telephone calls please. The Los Angeles News Group includes the Los Angeles Daily News, Long Beach Press-Telegram, Pasadena Star-News and six other dailies operated by Digital First Media. Branded under the Daily News' umbrella, the group's print circulation exceeds 500,000 and is the 14th-largest in the country, according to the latest AAM report.
