Why does David Muir sit at the desk like a coiffed praying mantis?

What if the New York Times is the center? The political middle?

I saw that chart a while ago and found that I get most of my news from the green box.

    He's got a purty mouth.

Seriously, I've never understood the guy's facial expression. Always seems incredibly forced. It's like Jennings died and he was the only guy on the roster with a full head of brown hair.

Actually, I think it was supposed to be Bob Woodruff but he got half his head blown off.

Whenever we're with Mom and Dad, we're forced to watch because that's the channel Jeopardy! comes on. Every single reporter has to say his name at the beginning of their report and then finish with it, like they're reinforcing "DAVID!" because he's so insipid and vanilla that no viewer will remember 30 seconds later.

"David, things are just like your intro. That's what it's like here. Back to you, David."

I see "Bob Woodruff," and all I think of is the former Tennessee athletic director.

I have no idea what David Muir's bona fides are. Until media reports indicated he was taking over as "talking head" of that newscast, I'd never heard of him.

And I cannot recall ever watching a broadcast with him involved.
