The Tyler Morning Telegraph, a privately owned, 35K circulation daily in East Texas, seeks an experienced journalist with strong editing skills. The editor would join a news desk focusing on producing an outstanding print product integrated with Web-based journalism and other media. Candidates will have a focus on teamwork and have an understanding a quality print product supercedes personal glory. The position is evenings and requires ability to work weekends and late night. Basic schedule is 40 hours on four-day work week. Experience in QuarkXPress is desired. We offer competitive salary, 401K, medical benefits, paid vacation and sick leave. Interested parties contact Asst. Managing Editor Richard Loomis at rloomis@tylerpaper.com.

I post this here because it is in the plans to convert to a universal desk, and if someone with experience in sports came in, that transition would happen much faster and much easier.

    PM me with any questions.
