    Description: The Ridgway Record a 3000 circulation newpaper publishing 6 days a week has an immediate opening for a full-time reporter postion. Interested candidates much possess excellent writing, editing, page design and leadership skills. experience with Adobe Indesign and Photoshop a plus. Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field not required but preferred. Position primarily will focus on local news including sports news; reporters are responsible for taking their own photos.     15,000 is less than minimum wage...figuring 40-hour work weeks.

    I wonder how many applicants they'll get.

    I calculate it to be $7.21 an hour. Pennsylvania's minimum wage is $7.25.

    For this you get to take your own photos.

    $15,080 if it's 40 hours at $7.25 an hour.

    Either way, it's insulting, especially if they are preferring someone with a bachelor's/

    Work at Burger King instead, since they might pay you a buck above minimum wage to deal with upset soccer moms?
