New York Times style question

    Not that I have designs on working for the NYT, of course, but it might come in handy some day.

    Other than courtesy titles, how does the Times' style differ from AP style? Do any papers other than the NYT follow that style?

  4. the times doesn't use courtesy titles in sports. there's plenty of little details that seem antiquated much of the time. though in recent years they've relaxed some rules.

    Until the last decade or so, the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune used to use courtesy titles in its news section.
