Also, walk up Central Park West from Columbus Circle to the Natural History Museum. Great walk, I think it's like 16 blocks, some very impressive edifices of very expensive real estate.

    AVOID anything that says Trump.

Do what I do when I'm there, just roam around different parts of the city during the day. You never know what you're going to find.

I also love running in Central Park in the morning. I've also rented a bike a few times and ridden in through the park for a few hours.

Yes, your performance will improve if a mugger is chasing you.

If a mugger can catch me, he can have my watch. And I've never felt unsafe running in Central Park, probably because there are a few hundred other folks there doing the same thing.

Make sure you go to Times Square ... named for the good times you have when you're in it. Also, make sure you go to Sbarro's--nothing like a classic New York slice!

Five years before Rudy put an end to that kind of lawlessness.

But the ones in NYC are filled with people from flyover country believing they are seeing the real NYC, including the potential to snap a souvenir photo of a Mob boss being gunned down over his rubbery faux Italian meal. You miss that at the mall Sbarros.
