In other words, resolve not to change a damn thing?

    - Try to quit smoking, or at least curb it (I smoke about a pack and a half per week right now, which isn't too shabby)
    - Keep working out (Lost almost 30 pounds since this time last year and want to maintain that consistency)
    - Travel (Planning a trip to Las Vegas/California for late March)
    - Write more (non-sports stories)
    - Go out of my element (Donny)

I'd like to cut my 2-mile run time down to about 14 minutes, which shouldnt' be too hard. I'm in the low-to-mid 15s now, so its doable. That goal would probably help me reach the secondary goal of shedding 15-20 pounds. Spending the second half of the year in Afghanistan won't hurt, either.

But, I guess my main goal this year is to not ball up a helicopter and kill anyone.

Do Vegas while you're still smoking. America's ashtray.

That made me laugh. I like how you didn't pledge not to get married, though.

Stop stuffing bodies in the crawlspace.
    Build a shed out back.
    Wash the clown outfit.

1). Save money to go on a cruise -- my first one -- in October.

2). Go on a mission with my church to another country.

3). Compete in a triathlon, or at least a mini-triathlon.

4). Commit more random acts of kindness, pleasantly surprising people with them. (Whoever made a bumper sticker out of this had it right; it's easy, gratifying, and really fun, to do).

    -Read and write more.
    -Quit drinking [alcohol] entirely.
-Get back into a regular fitness/nutrition routine.
-Re-invest into some new, and old hobbies.
    -Be more money conscious.

List goes on, but that's my top five.

I think the word "more" makes for very ineffective resolutions. Specificity gets results.

My resolutions for 2012 are to:
    • Increase my responsibilities at work.
    • Shave on a day I don't work.
    • Read three non-sports books.
    • Try five new beers and five new whiskeys/whiskys.
    • Make it to the fourth date once.
    • Spend less than $2,000 on my car.
