I can see the "tuck" part. The "nip" happens in Season 3.

Umm ... I might be wrong, but didn't this actually happen?
Wasn't there a case, three, maybe four years ago where a sportswriter was going to get a sex change, and did, but left the business because of all the crap.
I don't think it was in the United States, maybe England or Australia. Seems like it really did happen though.

UPDATE: The sportswriter character has been changed to "a gynecologist who shares a medical practice with his father."

Yessir, you are correct. I forget the name of the writer, but she changed her name from (escapes my mind) to Christine Somethingorother. Rick Reilly did a piece about meeting her for the first time after the transformation. If Murphy is serious about this, hopefully he has this writer on as an advisor, otherwise he's begging for a nasty lawsuit.

Episode 4 - The sportswriter's best friend, Ryan Sonner, takes him out to purchase stilettos and while shopping in the women's shoe section, they run into JDV.

    Mike Penner to Christine Daniels.

This may explain Perry's update from Variety. Life imitating art too closely and all that...

And it wasn't a few years ago, it was a few months ago.
