Anybody heard any rumors of a new OU scandal today. I've got a buddy who works in marketing for one of the major sports apparel manufacturers and he just sent me an email telling me that OU's Adrian Peterson is involved in a scandal with the same car dealership that took OU's QB Bomar down. Any confirmations?

  11. There was an incident at that dealership last year with Peterson. Apparently he bought a car and drove it for a month or two (someone correct me if that time frame is off, but that's what I remember) and then brought it back, saying he couldn't afford the car. He hadn't made a payment yet, and the dealership let him off.
OU investigated and said nothing wrong happened because it's the same way the dealership (Big Red Sports and Imports) dealt with regular customers.
This was all before the Bomar deal came out, so I'm sure the NCAA will be giving this a good look.
It's bad that it's at the same dealership, but it could be a coincidence.
I don't know any more than that.
