Yup. I was right. No need to proceed further.

What you refuse to realize is that the folks who are for traditional marriage don't see the argument the same way you do.

For most of their lives -- and for a thousand years -- it wasn't even discussed in this way. Marriage was between a man and a woman, and had nothing to do with denying rights to anyone.

And, that's the exact position Democrat stalwarts like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton framed the issue.

Now, if you hold this belief strongly, and don't view it in terms of denying a right to anyone, then there is no reason to not try and ensure your strongly held beliefs have the force of law behind them.

Is it time to claim another scalp:

YF, it's not about "claiming a scalp."

It's about deterring future leaders from donating to these causes, which, without necessary funding, will eventually shrivel up and fade away.

Maybe that's why OKCupid went on the offensive so quickly with their message. It gives potential evidence that Yagan has changed his views.

I'll also add that I do make a distinction between donating to a candidate and donating to a movement to overturn a specific law and (in this particular case) un-marry a bunch of married couples. If nothing else, Yagan does have plausible deniability that he didn't make the donation for anti-gay reasons. Maybe he's really pro-wiretapping.

Darrell Issa thinks this is becoming a ridiculous witch hunt.
