    I should add that there's a hotel that's worth the trip in Albuquerque. It was, I was told, the first hotel opened by Conrad Hilton. Rooms aren't big--it's old--but the foyer and bar and everything else looks like the set of Zorro. Only thing missing is Guy Wiliams. It's about two blocks from Route 66 downtown. Best neighbourhood to hang out in.
