21, you have been challenged for next summer's SJ novel.

Do not let this challenge go unanswered. The "creative memoir" market for 50s baseball stars is an untapped gold mine. To wit ...

"Duke Snider and Pee Wee Reese in ... Bat On Leather: Stonewall's Bums"

"Bob Feller in ... Go Commies! I Hate America!"

    and the sequel ...

"Bob Feller in ... Stroke My Terminal Tower-Sized Ego"

    finally ...

    "Don Mossi: The Orgy Meister"

    Here's the cover art ...

I'm already two chapters into it....Johnny Podres just asked Mamie Van Doren if he can take her bowling....she says okay, but he will have to pick up the ball for her, because she never wears underwear and she tries not to bend over, at least not in public.....Drysdale overhears and makes a rude bowling ball joke, which Mamie doesn't get, but Podres smashes him in the mouth, breaking his own hand and ending his season.

Then someone enters, nice and easy, but it might be the cab driver waiting for a tip. I'm not that far yet.

Cool. Just leave the Duke Snider and Pee Wee Reese gay stuff in.

    Don't censor yourself.

Now we'll find out why they called him "Shotgun" George Shuba, I'll bet.

Or if Carl Furillo really was the "Reading Rifle."

The song lyric, "Willie, Mickey and the Duke" takes on a whole new meaning doesn't it?

I can't really discuss it. We're talking to the lawyers.

Chapter Eight: Jackie Robinson isn't allowed to eat with his teammates when the team bus traveling to spring training stops in Georgia. He gets even by banging both of the restaurant's waitresses and the owner's wife on the empty bus... doing more for race relations than he ever did with mere athletic ability.

Chapter Nine: Don Larsen pitches a perfect game during the day, and then catches one that night. It turns out that his roommate, Yogi Berra, is a much better pitcher than catcher. During those nights alone in their room after Casey's curfew, Yogi had gotten plenty of practice jumping jubilantly in the air and coming down with both legs around Larsen's waist.

Chapter 10: Money wasn't the reason the Dodgers kept Sandy Koufax on the roster in 1955, opting to send Tommy Lasorda to the minors. Koufax had a massive S&M dungeon in the basement of his Brooklyn home, where he, Johnny Podres and Clem Labine would keep local women as concubines while journeyman pitcher Russ Meyer filmed their exploits. Koufax's generosity only made Lasorda's constant bitching about having a fucking four inch penis that much less tolerable, so Podres and Labine convinced the organization to keep Koufax over Lasorda.

No mention of how long it took Mantle to complete the transaction.
