The AJC lost more than 9% of its daily circulation in six months. That's scary as hell.

That's what they get for dogging out Mick Vick.

  5. Not surprising NYT's Sunday circulation went down that much, considering it's five bucks for a friggin' newspaper.

The joint Denver Sunday circulation down 13.5 percent. Wonder what that's about?

Most of the top 15 Sunday papers were down 4 percent or more. What gives?

I'm gonna guess that people don't have the time or inclination to read the newspaper and/or more are going online.

Plus with the circulation scandals in recent months, fewer papers are cooking the books.

That number might be misleading since in April the AJC stopped selling papers in south Georgia and parts beyond.

At the same time, it might also show that all those changes the AJC made weren't for the better.

Our circ guy last week had some decent numbers for us. We had a string of days over two weeks where we were up anywhere from 750 to 1,500. Small numbers, yes, but you've got to start somewhere. We're going to rebuild this thing.

No paper would stop selling to 10% of their subscribers. The southern Georgia papers are a fraction of the loss. We could ask the Sports Editor....Oh...
