Never get between and rural Oregonian and his (pet) deer

    Apparently Oregonians have fierce libertarian streak when it comes to hanging on to their pets. This blew up a few days ago and has now made it to Newsweek. The Department of Fish and Wildlife has been overwhelmed with calls by pissed off deer lovers and the letters to the Oregonian decrying the Iraq war have been briefly pushed aside to make way for the flood of deer related letters. I love the Northwest.
