Nevada Secretary of State wins amateur MMA debut, retires

    This probably makes him fairly unique among politicians.

    In a side note, the piece in the Sacramento Bee mentions that Ross Miller (the cage fighting Secretary of Sate) went to Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. The article doesn't make the link, but Bishop Gorman is also the high school that Dana White and the Fertitta Brothers (the majority owners of the UFC) attended. That trio are several years old than Miller though so they wouldn't have been there at the same time.
