I'm about halfway through the series, Nikita, and it can't be beat for action, eye candy and script writing.

Got to agree with IJAG. Luther is a terrific UK show. If you're into the police/law/spy/crime drama genre, plenty of very good UK shows are worth viewing.

Don't know which of these are available to view thru Netflix but some good ones are:

    *Prime Suspect (the UK version)
*Trial and Retribution (created/written by Lynda LaPlante who created Prime Suspect)
    *55 Degrees North
*Cracker (lead actor is Robbie Coltrane who's just terrific in the role)
*Kingdom (lead actor is Stephen Fry who's Hugh Laurie's old comedy partner)
*Spooks (which BBC America broadcasts under the name MI-5)

Then there are some classic '60s UK action/spy-fi/dramas like:

    *The Avengers
    *The New Avengers
    *The Saint
*Danger Man (renamed Secret Agent in the US)
    *The Prisoner

Five minutes into True Blood. Pretty good, so far.

Just noticed that Friday Night Lights is on streaming. Heard that was pretty good, so I'll check it out.
