I'm thinking the coach is right.

Only thing is, this is one of those things that can only realistically be proved one way. You can prove him wrong with by finding just one team, but you'll never accept he's right because you will never be able to track down every team.

There's some latin phrase for this, but I can't think of what it is.

Glad to see you don't disappoint...

And congrats coach, you're the only one. Who cares?

Don't some of the European club teams have sponsors logos prominently on the front of their uniforms.

Yeah, only pretty much every single professional club around the globe.

Some clubs don't because they can't get a deal, some companies which did sponsor a team's jersey, like West Ham United's, went bust so West Ham went out and found a new one.

The only real exception is Barcelona, which refuses to allow a sponsor and supports Unicef.

Some clubs, who can get a deal, do it in MLS as well. That number has increased greatly in the last year or so, XBOX 360 for new club Seattle, Best Buy for Chicago, Volkswagen for D.C. United amongst others.
