Blockhead's is a place to go get drunk on cheap margaritas and passable Mexican food. Unfortunately, at like all the locations there's only bathroom which can become an issue after the getting drunk part.

Lots of good places in and around Aggieville.

    Whiskey Creek is very good.

    Oh; Manhattan, NY; not Kansas?

P.J. Clarke's and The Press Box have great burgers in Midtown.

Gold, one really old place that is still there is Le Veau d'Or over in the East 60s. Very old-style French food, half the customers speak French and the other half are your traditional East Siders. It's a trip, and not ruinously expensive, seeing as I ate last summer with my family, and I think dinner with wine for four was around $200-225.

Go here and read. Use the search feature for particular topics of interest. There's a lot of spirited discussion, and the observations often come from a wide range of experiences rather than presenting the one-time snapshot that a newspaper or magazine review sometimes offers. If you're really ambitious, you can register and join the discussion or ask questions. People love to give advice:

This place will deliver current menus and even tells you which subway line to take:

    They're both great resources.
