Need beach reading suggestions

    Speaking of Pat Conroy and the beach, "Beach Music" was really good.

    "The Kite Runner" and "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini are amazing, but I'm not sure I would consider them light reading. I didn't want to put the book down (as was the case with "The Da Vinci Code" and "Angels and Demons"), the subject matter is a lot heavier than in some typical beach reads.

    And the Harry Potter series is amazing.
