    Not a knock on Clancy here at all. But I've never considered him light.

    Pick up any of the W.E.B Griffin series books. I particually like The Corps series but his new series "Presidential Agent is also very good. First of that series is called "By Order of the President" You clearly need a man's book.

    The Hunt For Red October is my favorite book/movie combo ever. I've read several in the Ryan/Clark series. Just a little too heavy for this trip, I think. Going back a couple of weekends in May, including a long one for Memorial Day weekend. One of the others might be a good one for those trips.
