LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — State Senator Ernie Chambers of Nebraska filed a lawsuit against God last week for causing "widespread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earth's inhabitants."

    So...does he have a case?

There actually could be some weird legal ramifications to this, no matter what happens. It'll obviously get thrown out, but if the judge rules that you can't sue God because He doesn't exist, it could open the doors for every ACLU type who wants to get religion out of the public square. Gives them some legal footing to work with.
If the judge throws it out because the guy doesn't have standing to sue God, it's implying God does exist and could be viewed by some as a government endorsement of religion.
If an opinion is written, whoever does it needs to tread carefully.

All the judge has to do is say that Thomas Jefferson's intent in the First Amendment, based on his letters to the Danbury Baptists, was to put a wall of separation between religion and government. So while senator chambers has the right to sue, the government courts cannot hear the case because of the church-state issues.

    God didn't do anything wrong.

God gave man choice to do good or evil. It is man that corrupted Earth -- not God.

Another American trying to sue somebody else for his own stupidity.

Dunno. You think God looked kindly upon a guy who sprung a double-murderer?
