This is Ken Davis, former newspaper guy and long-time freelancer. I've been covering the NCAA Tournament for 40 years, since 1979 when Larry Bird and Indiana State visited Allen Fieldhouse at a regional in Lawrence, Kan. I spent 20 years at the Hartford Courant and was UConn beat writer for 12 years before becoming the national college writer. I covered my first Final Four in 1985, a true classic, and haven't missed a Final Four since.

I am credentialed for this week's opening rounds in Hartford. Here is my Sunday night quick look at the Hartford games. No magic needed, just an outstanding NCAA draw

I am available for features, notes, game stories or anything you might need from Hartford. I'm also credentialed for the Final Four and looking for work. I'd be glad to help you in any way.
