Good day for apple picking. Temple-SMU might be the most interesting game on the slate.

I was thinking the THE/NW game had the smell of a potential upset ( a Friday road game a week a head of a top 10 match-up) until I saw that NW's sole win was against UNLV (and the Rebs only win was at Vandy?) Talk about your Circle of Suck.

If I'm going to take a truckload of points in the Big Ten this week, it would be the 31 and Illinois, because Wisky has tOSU next week.

I'd also take Purdue +18 at Iowa and even give them a smidge of a chance for an upset. Iowa has lost two slugfests in a row and can't score.

Is Stanford just happy with sucking in Football?
You never hear anything about Shaw being on any hot seat.

Well he is 85-30 during his tenure and has never won less than eight games in a season. So that's probably why they aren't in a rush to fire him.

With Shaw, when you are the all-time wins leader at your school I imagine you get to decide when you leave for the NFL. He's going to be coaching in the NFL before too long in any event. You can have Lincoln Riley, I think most GMs would want Shaw.

I - FBS Texas Tech beat Oklahoma St 45-35
I - FBS Oklahoma St is better than SMU because Oklahoma St beat Tulsa 40-21
and SMU only beat Tulsa 43-37
    I - FBS SMU beat TCU 41-38
I - FBS TCU is better than Oklahoma because TCU beat Kansas 51-14
and Oklahoma only beat Kansas 45-20

Therefore, Texas Tech is better than Oklahoma in 4 rounds by a combined score of 177-161
