    This alumnus says if you didn't at least have a beer before kickoff, you're doing it wrong. And I went during the days of the 11:30 a.m. Jefferson Pilot TV kickoffs.

    Mack will resign when they go 5-7 and miss a bowl game. If they make it to a bowl game, he'll survive. His buyout and length of deal are probably too long to just outright fire him.

    $3.5 million is not that high for a school that has its own TV network.

    Yeah, I can't imagine any buyout would be too much for Texas to pay. If Texas isn't the richest athletic department in the country, it's definitely top 5.

    If he and Kiffin are both canned during the off-season, it will be one lively coaching carousel.
