Since speculation about the upcoming matchups already started on the other thread, thought I might as well start this one:

Here are the Sweet 16 matchups:

    East
    North Carolina v Washington St.
    Louisville v Tennessee

    Midwest
    Kansas v Villanova
    Wisconsin v Davidson

    South
    Memphis v Michigan St.
    Stanford v Texas

    West
    UCLA v Western Ky.
    Xavier v West Virginia

Would love to see Davidson keep it going for one more game.
    Curry is fun to watch.

Love to see them keep it going, too. But I think as someone said on the second round thread, Wisconsin will be a tough matchup if only because of their defense, especially Flowers on the perimeter.

    Louisville and MSU will advance.

That was me. Every time I've watched Wisconsin, Flowers has shut down the best scorer on the other team. He's really good, which means Richards and Lovedale are going to have to play their best games for Davidson to have a chance.

Honestly, I'm not sure how much it matters, but I was looking at the conference breakdown of teams left:

    Big East--3 (Louisville, 'Nova, West-by-God)
    Pac-10--3 (UCLA, Stanford, Wash. St.)
    Big 12--2 (Kansas, Texas)
    Big 10--2 (Wisconsin, Mich St.)
    SEC--1 (Tenn.)
    ACC--1 (UNC)
    A-10--1 (Xavier)
    C-USA--1 (Memphis)
    Southern--1 (Davidson)
    Sun-Belt--1 (Western Ky.)

Seems like an accurate snapshot of the entire season and I don't care what RPI said about the ACC.

True enough, Lester. I've never thought the conference RPI to be very accurate, and the ACC's was obviously inflated because of UNC and Duke.

How 'bout that mighty SEC. Congrats to the Vols though, they got one round further than I thought they would ... even if it was by the skin of their ass.

This makes the Big Ten seem better than it really is. That conference, beyond those two teams, was a Big Turd.

Good point ... especially after Sampson-gate.

    Here's your early lines:

    UNC -7½ over Wazzu (142½)
    Louisville -2 over Tennessee (146)
    WVU -1 over Xavier (134½)
    UCLA -12½ over W. Kentucky (132)
    Kansas -11½ over Nova (142½)
    Wisky -4½ over Davidson (126½)
    Memphis -5 over MSU (134½)
    Texas -1½ over Stanford (134½)

Western Kentucky hasn't lost by more than 10 points all season ...
