Experienced freelancer available to cover the first round men's and women's lacrosse games May 15 or 16 at the University of Virginia. Selection show isn't until Sunday, but odds are Virginia will host. I can handle gamers, notebooks, sidebars, etc. Obviously, there are other story lines besides the straight gamer. If you need a reporter on the ground to cover those, I can do that too.

I frequently write for The Daily Progress in Charlottesville and have recently sold a few stories to ESPN.com. Up until a few weeks ago, I was the sports editor at the Culpeper (Va.) Star-Exponent.

E-mail me at smettlen@gmail.com or PM me here if you are interested.

    Thanks,
    Shane
