DUMB, DUMB, DUMB 4th-down call from Wannstedt/Cavanaugh.

You're beating the other team up front, and you call a soft fade on fourth-and-goal at the 2?

You go for the win with that...? Terrible play call and execution.

The WR has 5 inches on the corner, but...the throw was just awful

Can we finally stop using the fade as the end-all, be-all of football plays in tight situations? It's so predictable and easily stopped anymore. You can almost assume that coaches will use a fade on 4th down near the goal line.

    Nice job by Navy.

That shows you how dumb Wanndstedt is. You have two plays to get two yards and you throw it both times with McCoy in the backfield? He was the best player in the country two years ago before he broke his ankle. JoePa wanted him something fierce.

Or you could, you know, force a third overtime, since, you know, you're at home.

Only thing worse than that decision is the Stu Scott Poetry Jam shit. What the fuck is this? Seriously, this is the worst thing I've ever seen on ESPN. I know that's really saying something, but seriously, who approves this bullshit???

Probably the same people that approved Stewie's six-figure salary.

And does Pitt really have a homefield advantage anyway? When you have McCoy and two plays to get two yards you give it to him twice. If Navy stops him, tip your hat to the Midshipmen.

And that's why Thursday night football sucks. What a weekend that could be on campus, you could even make a point for GameDay to be there, given these two program's rise from nowhere. Instead campus will be empty on Saturday.

    College football = Saturday. Period.

Wasn't RU's big win last year against Louisville also on Thursday night?

Other side of that = few outside the Big East will care about that game on a Saturday.
