Temporary victory by State's defense in holding LSU to a field goal after a 16-play drive, but they'd better figure out how to slow down LSU's run game or it'll be a long night in Starkvegas.

After last week, it's great to see some old-fashioned D being played. So far, not much running room for LSU.

More like three steps up. The first two games were glorified practices. Cougs started the week as 9.5 point underdogs but I believe it's gone down since. I'm thinking the Cougs have a good shot at 3-0, but I could see them starting the year anywhere between 3-2 and 5-0. Lobster has looked better than in the past, but this will be his first real test.

All I can say about LSU's defense is ... My Goodness.

So we're not allowed to enjoy the fact that FSU and Oklahoma have the balls to play each other -- unlike, say, Florida and its pussy non-SEC schedule.

So Oklahoma gets credit for a massive showdown against Florida State, but UF has a terrible schedule because they play ... Florida State?
