    Seven minutes sounds good.

What about teams? I think it'd be easier if we were all in the same conference, at least for the first season. And we gotta figure out when we'll play user vs. user games. I know we all have different schedules to sort through.

I also think it's a good idea to keep our settings close to the 360 league, just because there could be an exodus when the PS4 comes out for next year, given the reception to the new XBox so far.

As far as the conference thing, I'm open to whatever. How many people do we have? We could confine it to two conferences, that way there is still a chance that there would be a user vs. user national championship, and we'd still be able to have some user vs. user games from time to time.

  3. Is it too late to get in on this? I figured since I missed the boat on the 360 league, I'd jump on the PS3 one.

I remember in Xbox 09 we tried a week with eight-minute quarters. I lost a game to AZgrad 87-80, and someone else hit triple digits. We went to five minute quarters from there and haven't looked back (though 09 was ridiculously easy to exploit -- Jake topped 100 in a five-minute game, while I had games of 118 and 150 points in the final season.

It is not. We're still waiting on a few to get the game.

Following up on MM's post: I say we drop it to 6-minute quarters. If a game gets too lopsided -- especially against a CPU opponent -- it gets boring fast.

  7. Sucked it up and bought the game today. $60 and being broke now is the same as $60 and being broke three days from now.

When will we choose teams to pick?

I believe we're still waiting on sgreenwell and prince to get the game.

How about we starting making lists of possible teams we want to use?

You didn't miss the boat. You're more than welcome to join in. We're only in week one, so you would have only missed one week of recruiting.

Jelly, can you post a list of teams that are under 80 - or import the list from the other thread. I'm going to be away from the computer for a while.

I've gotten the game now too - Like Waffle, I passed by a Gamestop on my way home today and thought, "Well, why not?" Especially since it seemed like we had enough from this thread!

Did we settle on whether we're going to limit ourselves to one conference, two conferences or any team under 75 / 80 / X? My alma matter is URI, so I'm not especially tied to any specific team. On my own, I usually play as Idaho for the challenge, but I think that would be too much of a handicap against actual humans.
