NBC flexes it Olympics muscles

    Canada benefits by NBC's largess or stupidity depending upon how you look at it. The rights fees the rest of world pays are minuscule compared to US rate.

    CBC is the best at Olympic sports... NBC is the worst... It's the Chris Berman of coverage; people who don't know any thing different enjoy it, those with half a braincell, loathe it.

    Having earlier start times would probably help the Americans. Due to time difference issues, it is far easier to wake up early than to go to bed late.

    shit, i remember getting up at 6:50 a.m. most summers so i could be at swim team practice at 7. if i could do it, these olympians can do it, too.

    The gymnastics finals were at night, but NBC aired them on a slight delay to create additional, contrived drama. And they also conveniently omitted the fact that the Americans didn't need Strug's second vault to secure the gold medal. Bastards.
