  1. NY Post article on the NBA induction last night.
One of the more star-studded inductions of late, with Shaquille and Iverson highlighting the night.
TBL was gushing over Iverson's speech. The Post has a link. Shaq, of course, was vintage Shaq with a shout out to Kobe.
Iverson was my last favorite NBA player, so I'm a little biased.

But on a Friday in early September, when hoops are the last thing on anyone's minds. Great class, though. Loved Iverson. Shaq remains corny. He also needs to stop eating himself to death. If he makes 60, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I wonder if John Thompson, one of the most thin skinned individuals in sports, was a bit insulted by Iverson's speech. Giving Larry Brown credit for making him into a great player and saying is was only an 'OK player' when he left Georgetown.

  4. When Iverson was thanking Thompson for saving his life, the coach sat there like a stone. No emotion. No movement. Nothing.
