NBA draft logo

    i croped my draft logo from the bottom up in quark. i really have no issue with that just as i have no issue with editing AP copy.

    In a perfect world, I'd agree wholeheartedly.

    I also think there is a school of thought about copyright infringement that would strike you down with a fury if you manipulated the logo to remove a paid advertiser.

    I don't like it either, but reality is reality.

    I also remove sponsors from bowl games in stories without thinking twice, so maybe I've got my head up my ass. I'm not quite sure where the line is drawn.

    FWIW, NBA media central offered a draft logo with no Sprite logo.
     
  4. I would NOT alter a logo. Either find one that does not have the sponsor with it or come up with your own version, like "Draft '07" in a different style.

    Here's a question: Is there any trademark or copyright sign in a lower corner near the logo?
