That's just it, you can work yourself up and down that ladder - see also Doug Moe, Doug Collins, Don Nelson, Dick Motta, Kevin Loughery, Hubie Brown.

George Karl and Lenny Wilkins went all the way up and all the way down the ladder. You could say Popovich did the whole deal on the same team.

Sale should not be allowed to go through until New Orleans gets Jazz name back. If Charlotte can get Hornets back, and they are holding SuperSonics name for Seattle, New Orleans should be able to have Jazz name. In ironic twist, Salt Lake City Saints sounds good.

Haaaa. The ESPN story says he's going to stay on in that role, although you figure Morey will have full control over roster decisions, so what does that leave him as? The liaison between Rivers and Morey? Then again, with Brand's performance in the GM role so far, I'm not sure who would be willing to immediately hand the keys to him.

Sources: Morey near deal to be 76ers hoops prez

    Daryl Morey and Doc Rivers.

I look forward to years of "Wow, they didn't even make it to the Eastern Conference finals?" in Philly's future.
