While LeBron had those early Cleveland years trying to do the best he could with the Daniel Gibsons (and Jamario Moons) of the world, the eample that really sticks is that first time he reached the Finals against the Warriors, with Love injured early in the playoffs and Kyrie Irving going down after that. The one game the Cavs won in that series, with Tristan Thompson as their second-best player—the one where LeBron slammed the ball down afterward and screamed—was as impressive a performance as any he's ever had.

Sparty has gone completely over the top retiring numbers.

Green was an ok player on an essentially average Izzo team.

They went to 3 or 4 Final Fours w Draymond IIRC. Sorry 2, but was Player of Year and consensus All-America.

    Green makes nine
Figure Cassius Winston will be 10
Who on that list isn’t deserving?
    Right. Nobody

Skiles, Steve Smith, Respert and Jay Vincent are all reaches -- products of the 15 year post-Magic era of Jud Heathcote in which Sparty was essentially a .500 program.

    All Big Ten scoring champions
    Vincent won a ring
Skiles should get it just for being one of the best trash talkers of all time

Skiles to Antoine Joubert — “C’mon fat boy, show me what you got.”
Skiles to John Thompson — “Don’t you have anybody on this team who can check me?”

They got screwed twice in the Sweet 16
Against Kansas in the clock game and against Georgia Tech when Kenny Anderson’s 2 was called a 3
I know you’re a UM fan boi so I’ll just call it selective memory that you forgot Jud had some very good teams among a few clinkers

Steve Smith was a great trash talker too
I think he was with the Hawks and they played the Sixers when Jerry Stackhouse was a rookie
Smith guarded Stackhouse but never said a word to him
Every time the Sixers has the ball, though, he talked to Derrick Coleman
“Derrick, when’s he gonna go left?
“Is he ever gonna go left?
“Derrick, why won’t he go left?”
Stack learned a painful lesson on that day

Didn't take long for the Nets to get tired of Kyrie Irving's act.

For the culture: KD, Kyrie and what comes next for the Nets

Good lord. If there was only some way the Nets could have known about this!

There is nothing worse than an athlete who thinks he is smarter than he is. Curt Schilling night be the epitome of the problem.

This Wiz-Rockets game is bonkers; Wiz was blowing out a listless Rockets but the road team woke up and it's now 153-152 with a minute left. The Beard has 58 points.
