    I guess I shouldn't have used the word "whine." Too loaded. The fact of the matter is that if you even talk about wanting to win awards, or not winning an award, people are going to take that and run with it. It's stupid, but it's just kind of a dumb honor code in the business. Or any business really. Like clapping for the Oscar winner even though you were nominated.

    Does Jones really think politics are the reason he wasn't nominated? Or because he's made enemies?

    I think that if you're going to say that, you should probably expand on it.

    Instead of lamenting that Jones did not get a NTL mag finalist nomination shouldn't we be celebrating that he won the Deadspin Good Writering Award.
