    Probably.

If Hanley Ramirez is in the N.L. MVP discussion, then Brandon Phillips should be as well.

I voted Jimmy Rollins. He is having a ridiculous year for a leadoff hitter. I am especially impressed with his RBIs.

Can't remember if there is one, but Phillips should get Most Improved. It's clicking finally, and if he doesn't get big-headed about his year, we could be seeing the explosion of a Hall of Fame-type career.

Ugh, I'm an idiot. I left Chipper Jones off my list and he's easily top 5.

I'm waiting until the East race is over before I vote.

Every time I want to pull the trigger, something happens.

Wright's 1-2 with single, walk and two runs thus far today, FWIW.

Gold Gloves are won based on politics and have very little to do with actual fielding numbers.

Which is absurd to the nth degree.

Rollins just set the NL record for most extra base hits as a shortstop with 87. If he goes 4 for 4 with 2 HRs and 2 2Bs tomorrow, he ties Alex Rodriguez's MLB record.

Edit: Any collection of 4 extra base hits would do it, but that line would be nice as well.

I couldn't agree with you any more than that.

    Interesting tidbit on Matt Holliday:

there's a comeback player of the year, but he won't get that. phillips was pretty good last year, really damn good this year. he should win the gold glove this year, but we all know how the gold glove goes (that's what i always say to people when they bitch about bbwaa voting -- the most fucked up voting is the gg, and that's done by managers/coaches -- as is silver slugger)

Are there separate Comeback Player of the Year awards for each league?

So, who here thinks that anyone other than Rollins is getting the trophy?
