It took me a while of singing this to myself because it sounded familiar but.....

Stone Sour - Zzyxz Rd. Great song by the way.

Now, take a guess at this.... It's probably my favorite song by this particular artist...

Hard times baby, well they come to tell us all
Sure as the tickin' of the clock on the wall
Sure as the turnin' of the night into day

Waiting on a Sunny Day -- Springsteen.

Oh, and I've driven on Zzyzx Road.

    Next:

    I'll have another cigarette
    And curse Sir Walter Raleigh
He was such a stupid get.

I'm So Tired -- The Beatles

I laid down last night, laid down last night
I laid down last night, tried to take my rest
My mind got to ramblin', like a wild geese
From the west, from the west

    Git, right? Not get?

tart's: "I Know You Rider" by ... well, almost everybody.

"I'll close my eyes, then I won't see
The love you don't feel when you're holding me
Morning will come, and I'll do what's right
Just give me till then to give up this fight
And I will give up this fight."

(Bonus points if you can name the primary sports connection to these lyrics)

[It was a ringer, because there's more than one possible song. Typical for old blues. I was going for Devil Got My Woman by Skip James.]

    I've been tarted.

And HC, yes, that's the song, but one of the two people who wrote it has a sports connection I'm looking for.

    Anyone? Anyone? :)
