I am NOT comparing HRC to Lucrecia Borgia.

But if it were BO vs. LB, NY NOW would insist adherents march in lockstep to the polls and vote for LB.

    Wrong.
    Wrong.
    WRONG.

A state chapter does not speak for the national organization, nor does NOW speak for all feminists. In many circles they are viewed as the "old guard."

I've said it before: Hillary is not my candidate, but the level of misogyny her candidacy has seen is astounding, disgusting and demoralizing.

Can you not support Hillary and NOT be a misogynist? I'm not supporting HRC because she is a woman. I'm not supporting her because I feel someone else would be able to move America forward farther than she would be able to. And yes, I agree that she was/is the victim of a bunch of insecure men to the right who believe that women should be subservient to men and worry that they'll have to double up on their Viagra perscriptions if she is elected. That said, I think Edwards or Obama will help this country turn the page and put past battles to rest.

Putting aside this NOW thing for a moment....

I have to admit that watching the SOTU last night, I imagined the booming announcement for 'THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES' and seeing a woman enter....what a moment that would be.

Doesn't sway my vote, unfortunately for NOW, but still gets me choked up.

Personally, I liked the exclaimation points in the statement... Added a nice touch of professionalism.

Nope & if you do support her, you're a racist. Apparently, we all are pretty awful human beings (especially those of use who support neither - we just hate everyone).

Good God. Way to look like total idiots, NOW. I may have my problems with Teddy (hello, bridge!), but it's HIS choice to say who he endorses for president, not NOW's.

If a member of NOW approached me, I'd say "I'm all for a woman for president... just not this woman."

Can you cite examples of this? I've seen plenty of criticism of Hillary in this campaign, but honestly can't say I've noticed it being because she's a woman, much less an "astounding" level of misogyny. Is it at all possible that you might have drawn some false inferences from legitimate criticism?

NOW sold out the women of America when it continued to back Hillary's husband while he was serially abusing women and cheating on his wife.
